BK City
Written by Jennifer Parkin

Just got back from our site visit to the new BK City, the new home for the faculty of Architecture at TU Delft - see this link.  Do take a look at the gallery photos  - some of the work settings are rather on the covetable side.

The space is all the more impressive because of the timescales involved – the previous BK City was destroyed in a fire in May last year, and just over half a year later the faculty have moved into their newly refurbished work environment.

We’re collaborating with Theo Van Der Voordt and his team to capture learning about the delivery process and to understand the impact of the resulting space, and will be posting up more details about it in the coming weeks.

We’d quite happily move to Delft, what with its penchant for door curtains (why don’t we have them here?), high-handled bicycles, and its truly amazing public library - see these Flickr photos.
